About
Tal Lahat Rappel lives in Ness Ziona and comes from a background of a BA in Education and Psychology and a MA in Communications. The artist creates in various techniques: draws, prints, works in watercolor and paints in oil on canvas and in mixed media. Tal also works in textiles, embroiders and knits. In November, Tal presented her first solo exhibition titled "Life's Millstone" at the Tova Osman Gallery, after years of participating in group exhibitions across the country and studying art with various artists including Merik Lechner and Neta Harari Navon.
Her style has evolved over the years, it is expressive, material and deals with the cycles of life. The artist selects images and brings them to abstraction with hints of figurative details. The preoccupation with life, from its beginning to its end, its formation and what remains of it drives most of her works. The textile works are constructed from threads, weaves and knots with the same intimate theme, expressed in materiality and, like her paintings, expresses growth, reproduction, cells division and more.
